OUR EFFORTS HAVE RESULTED IN THE HGC HAVING THE LOWEST CONSISTENT CRIME STATS

ARE YOU ONE YET?

                        Your contribution of R950 pays for the following services:

  • TWO dedicated Beagle patrol vehicles which operate 24/7 in our neighbourhood
  • A NETWORK OF CAMERA s around the suburb with the latest surveillance software linked to the Beagle control room. There are 27 cameras that are currently being upgraded to 50 cameras inclusive of 5 license plate recognition cameras to monitor the perimeters of the suburb and issue suspicious vehicle alerts
  • Public space security monitoring of The Spruit, Hurlingham Park and other green areas in our suburb.
  • Unlimited meet and greets for contributors.
  • Monthly contributions to the Project Flower campaign that employs Urban Threat Management to remove illegal structures and pollution along the Spruit
  • Employment of  two gardeners to manage invasive vegetation along the Spruit, clean up rubbish and general maintenance, maintain and monitor the perimeter fence; work with City Parks to cut grass, maintain paths, paint street signs and protect the environment;
  • Overseeing and monitoring compliance with our Precinct Plan, which has been approved by the residents of the HGC zone, including Glenadrienne, Craighall, Clynton and Riepen Park. This ensures the integrity of your property and maintains values while allowing for suitable development in a responsible manner.
  • Monitoring compliance of land use, zoning and building plans and co-ordinates the submission of objections to the City.
  • The co-ordination of ad-hoc projects in the neighbourhood which benefit residents, such as the successful roll-out of a fibre network to homes, the adopt a park proposal for Hurlingham part and the Skeemsaam initiative, to name but a few.

                                                         GET YOUR TAX BACK!

  • Contributions are R950 per month, debited on the first of the month.
  • We have now been granted Public Benefit Organisation status under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act, so the contributions you make to the HGC are tax deductible. You can get up to R340 back per month from SARS depending on your tax rate if you claim the donation in your tax return and submit your Section 18A donation receipt to SARS annually with your return.
  • Currently the cost of securing the suburb is in excess of R100 000 per month, so every extra contributor makes our suburb stronger.
  • 80% of  contributions are allocated  towards security at this stage.
  • Pensioner and complex rates available on request.
