HERITAGE FOUNDATION

The HGC is run by volunteers who are also residents of the area. Jasper Security Management assists with administration. All queries regarding HGC matters should be directed to Jasper Security Management on 011 789 8267 during office hours, or email

FINANCES

At present 54% of the residents contribute towards the community security system. Households have made a capital contribution of R3750 towards the setting up of the camera infrastructure, and all contributors have a notice attached to their wall indicating their support for the HGC.

The basic security levy is R626 per month and is payable to the HGC Heritage Foundation. Levies are due on the 1st of every month. A debit order facility is available and forms can be downloaded here for your convenience.

Monthly payment by cheque can also be arranged.

The committee and our managing agent, Jasper Security Management, work continuously at increasing the contribution base, however individual residents are also invited to assist by encouraging non-paying neighbours.
As more households sign up to the system, so the security levy can be reduced - if you are not a contributor please join our efforts.

The HGC's books are subject to independent audit and are available for inspection on request. The Committee has been given a mandate to continue running the security and maintenance of the area, but will report back to the residents for any major projects or expenses.

So what happened to the skip?

Dear Residents

At last week's meeting of the committee, we spent a significant period re-assessing our priorities regarding the available funds for the residents' needs.

It is always a fine balancing act to optimise the funds that are contributed by a section of the residents - against the needs of all of us. Further, there are some imminent, larger issues on the near horizon, such as the road closures. These have now entered a review stage and we need to be conservative with any non-essential spending. Sadly, the skip fell into that category.

When we find ourselves in a more cash-flush situation (more regular contributions hopefully, as more residents feel the benefits of the work in process), we will be able to re-assess where that spend goes.

We hope you understand our situation and always welcome any suggestions you might have that may be of use to the other residents.

Sincerely

Stuart Lee
